About Rosa Ziegler, starting with my own connection, and I will go on to include the family trees.
Elizabeth Ziegler married my great great grandfather's brother, Theodore Dravis.
My research got more indepth when I realised that Theodore's sister, Emma Dravis, married August Guritz. August Guritz' cousin, William Guritz, married Marie "Chatherine" Ziegler, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Ziegler's and Henry Adolph Ziegler's sister. Henry is Rosa's father and the nice of Catherine and Lizzie.
When Theodore died in 1895 after the census was taken, Elizabeth "Lizzie" moved back in with her widowed mother between then and 1900, Sophie (Eberhardt) Ziegler. In the household were two of Sophia's unwed children, Minnie and Otto, but Elizabeth "Lizzie" only kept two of her children with her - Martha and William Dravis.
1900 - I found Rosa Dravis, one of Lizzie's other daughters, living with William Guritz and Catherine (Ziegler) Guritz as their niece. Interstingly, William Ziegler was living with them too as William Guritz' brother-in-law!
As for Henry Ziegler, Rosa and Ruben's father, his first unkown wife died some time between 1889 and 1895 - maybe in childbirth with Ruben. I have determined this because their was no wife listed in the 1895 census, but with his new wife, he had a child in Decmember of 1895. I would be led to assume that he married Bertha Haupt sometime in 1895 after the census was taken.
Henry and Bertha Ziegler were living in Idaho in the 1900 census with his three new children of the second wife and his two children, Ruben and Rosa, from the first wife. It also shows that his new wife Bertha had 3 childbirths and 3 living children. This allowed me to make a positive identification on the family that this was indeed the Henry Ziegler that I was looking for.
Ruben is in the 1930 census in Yakima County, Washington with his wife Bessie. The census shows that he was born in Iowa, which he was, but that the birthplace of his father and mother are unkown.
This all helped instill that all of these people were related in some way.
