Subject: [YOXALL] a family bible of the Jones family - Emma Elizabethmarried William Yoxall in 1888 at Uttoxeter
Date: Fri, 13 Mar 2009 11:09:29 -0000
HI Folks,
I had a message from a GR correspondent about this bible for sale on Ebay. As she says the seller has provided three photos of the family registry in the bible which might be of interest. It might be of interest if you are researching William Thomas Yoxall (born 1864 Stoke) who married Emma Jones.
The message is below, which explains how to access the eBay sale - I just went into Ebay and then put in the reference she gives. The URL I ended up with is - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170310313584&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37.l1313%26satitle%3D170310313584%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1 - this might work as well.
The message:
Hello Peter
I'm a GR member who likes to browse the eBay auctions and I search for Family Bibles on there. I'm always hoping to find a bible that might possibly belong to one of us here on GR. Tonight I noticed a bible up for auction and there is a Family Register inside with the family of James Jones and Elizabeth Frances. I did a name search here on GR and found that you are looking for all the names in the bible. I wondered if you were interested, so if you want to take a look at it just go to the eBay home page and type the following number in the search faculty:= 170310313584 and that should bring up the page where the bible is. The title of the insertion is Brown's Family Bible - Circa 1850's - Moroccan Leather. I did notice the starting price is a bit high but then the seller has put a scan on there of the family register perhaps that might help you without having to buy it.
Regards
Peter Byford
