Though not related, I am interested in any information on Luther W. Slater; I assume he is the one from Lovettsville/Taylorstown VA; he was a Lt. in the Loudoun Independent Rangers, and after being wounded, was removed to Gettysburg, where he was treated and married his "Guardian Angel." D.H. Yount is also mentioned in these accounts. I would like to see Slater honored in Lovettsville, where he is buried.
