I am searching for my Youngs ancestors. I have taken it as far back as Asa Youngs b. 1774, married Abigail Way b. 1775.
I have a page of vital records from Tinmouth, Rutland County, Vermont.
As listed:

Young, Warren, d. Feb. 28, 1838
Young, Capt. d. Dec. 20, 1820
Young, Willis Edgar b. July 24, 1870

Young, Mabel, b. March 30, 1878
Young, Truman, b. Oct. 4, 1886
Young, Ethel, d. Sept 9, 1881
Young, Truman, d. Oct. 31, 1882"

I, also, have a book of cemetery inscriptions from Tinmouth, Rutland County, Vermont.

Lucinda Ray, wife, d. Sept. 30, 1897 age 82 y.
Hill, Theresa E. Young, d. Feb. 19, 1889 age 49 y.
Youngs, Asa, d. April 26, 1835 age 61 y.
Abigail, wife of Asa, d. July 19, 1833 in 58th y."

Records in Tinmouth show that Truman Young (d. 1882) is the son of Asa (d. 1835) and Abigail (Way) Youngs.

I am descended from Asa and Abigail Way Youngs who had-
Truman Young who married Lucinda Ray who had-
Dwight Young who married Adelia Hopkins who had-
Truman Young who married Eva Budlong who had-
Robert Young (my father).
I am hoping to learn the parents of Asa Youngs or Abigail Way.
Of interest.........Nathaniel Chipman, (officer of the American Revolution), b. Salisbury, CT. is buried just
a few feet from Asa, Truman and Cephas.
Also, 1880 US Census shows that Truman's parents, Asa and Abigail, were born in Connecticut. Lucinda Ray Young's father born in Mass., mother born in Vermont.
