I am seeking information on Hercules YOUNG, father of James (John?)
and Hannah. Hannah married Benjamin BURSON, son of George and Sarah, 8 Jan
1772, at Fairfax Meeting (Waterford) VA. James (John?) married Rachel
GIBSON of German Settlement (Waterford) VA 12 Feb 1775. There are 3 or more
Hercules Youngs appearing in family trees on Rootsweb, with conflicting
information. The LDS site has Hercules Youngs going back to 1569.

My best guess is that my Hercules was born ABT 1708 in Montgomery County PA,
that he married Sarah Phillips ABT 1744 at Center Meeting (New Castle), that
they had a son James (John?) (my wife's line), and that Hannah was born 1753
in Chester or Montgomery County PA.

As best I can tell, my wife's (and daughter's) Young line is as follows:

John William Young married Emma D. Campbell 1909
Mortimer Theodore Young married Mary Ellen Amanda Shaw 1868
John B. Young married Hannah Shoemaker 1827
John Young married Lois Wyatt (Wiett) 1806
James (John?) Young married Rachel Gibson 1775
Hercules Young married Sarah Phillips 1744
