Dear List,

If someone has this ancestor in their YATES tree could you tell me if he
had
a brother by the name of William N. Yates.

I am at a dead end and try all kinds of crazy things. A story handed
down
from the family is that William's brother was Governor of KY. Since
Richard Sr. was twice governor of IL and his son Richard Jr. was twice
Governor of IL
I thought I would try this lineage.
