During the last several months, I have checked university collections trying to locate any information on the Catalan-speaking persons who colonized northern Sardinia in the Middle Ages. Today the area is over 30% G, suggesting this group was predominantly G. All the information I located is in Italian (which I do not speak), and as best as I can tell none of the authors addressed anything about the composition of these colonists. Google's book search (using Italian and English keywords) was nonproductive.
If anyone encounters any publication with relevant info about these colonists, the info would be most appreciated.
