Great Topic, IMO. I just learned, from my daughter that the County
Chapter of the D. A. R. send a representative to each school, 5th
graders, to talk about Genealogy.
I went to DC to the DAR Library recently, and casually asked said
Daughter if she would like me to become a member, for her and Sarah, my
granddaughter. That's when she told me the above.
Sarah had asked, last summer, if I would help when they study Genealogy.
This is coming up before Christmas.
One of the benefits of membership in the DAR, is going to schools and
teaching children about the honor and sacrifices of the ancestors, I'm
told.
