First of all, "The Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All" is a work
of FICTION written by Allan Gurganus, published by Knopf, New York,
1989.
It is 718 pages.
Second, the TV mini-series starred Diane LANE not Jennifer Jason-Leigh
as the main character.
Third, as for your husbands great grandparents, 1957 was NOT over 100
years after the end of the Civil War, it wasn't even 100 years after the
begining of the Civil War. The Civil War was 1861-1865.
