This is in response to Flo's query. Nancy Wright who married James Asberry was a
daughter of 1803 (year of death) John Wright of Bedford County, Virginia, (place
of death) and Elizabeth (Pate) Wright and a granddaughter of 1763 Thomas Wright of
Bedford County, Virginia, and Mary (_____) Wright. She was born about 1771
probably at Bedford County and married James Asberry on November 13, 1792, at
Bedford County, Virginia. The consent listed her father as John Wright and the
witness and surety was Tommey Wright. That Tommey was 1850 Tommey Wright of
Bedford County, Virginia, a son of 1803 John Wright. Nancy died on July 13, 1853,
at Bedford County, Virginia. Nancy and James had 10 children:
1. Elizabeth (Asbury) Pollard,
2. Rhoda (Asberry) Corley or Cauley,
3. William Asbury,
4. Polly Asbury,
5. Nancy (Asbury) Kirk,
6. Sally (Asberry) Darby,
7. Rutha Asbury,
8. Sophia (Asburry or Asberry) Basham,
9. Jane or Gincy (Asberry) McFalls, and
10. Joel Asbury.

I have collected a substantial amount of information on the family of 1763 Thomas
Wright of Bedford County and would be happy to exchange with other researchers.
