Hey, Bubba, you need to take a few deep breaths and lighten up.
It certainly appears true enough that David Reed's message, complete with
its definitions of a savage, was deliberatly insulting and as such was rude
and boorish behavior (making him a savage according to definition number 6,
I think) - as well as being clear evidence of a lack of historical
knowledge.
So tell him so and move on. In the past two days, I have seen two examples
of the email equivalent of road rage (e-rage?). Life is too short to take
all such slights so seriously. In the long run, you should ask yourself why
should you really care what some smart aleck thinks?
