I am trying to trace marriage details of James Henry Stephens who (according to family history) was married in Swansea in March 1883 - I have traced the listing on Free BMD and he is shown in 'Swansea 11 G' . However, enquiries made to obtain a copy of the marriage certificate revealed no trace of James Stephens having married in Swansea at all!! I understand that he married a lady named Lily Louise Johns yet I can find no trace of her either! I wonder if some kind person could assist me with a look-up for him. I would be most grateful for some information.
