I am also related to Joseph Potts thru his son William James Potts. I would love to know about this family. I would also like to know about the trouble in the death of Joseph's "favorite daughter" that led to his suicide. My line goes:

Joseph Potts born 1835 Ireland married Eliza Crozier
Son: Wm. James Potts born 1856 Ontario Canada
married Ida Jane Clark born abt. 1868 NY.
married abt. 1883.
Daughter: Nettie May Potts born 2-3-1887 Dobston,
Langlade Co. WI married Ray Arthur Cottrell
1907 Dobston, Langlade County WI Both died
in Bradenton FL, Manatee County.
Son: Eugene Vernon Cottrell born 5-31-1919 MN, Minneapolis, Hennepin County. married Mabel G.
Watson born 1-20-1920 Elmore County AL.
