Intersting Felix, Lowndes is a county in S Georgia that has a large # of
Wtons. It borders on Florida (where my ancestors were from), Valdosta is a
major town, on Interstate Hiway 75. One wonders if there could be a
connection - but, how is it reversed? Did your Lowndes emigrate and found
this county? I'm interested!
