I am still looking for information on Alex Winfield. The family 'moved' to Ohio from Vriginia. If there are any persons named Winfield whose families owned slaves in Virginia, please contact me. I am interested in slave schedules, records of freed slaves or runaway slaves. As my Alex Winfield was born circa. 1852 I know that his parent(s) were slaves if they lived in Virginia. He was born in Ohio. Please do not be embarassed. I am simply trying to put together some history on my ancestors.
