I have information on Jacob and Thankful's family. They
are my direct ancestors on my mother's side of the family.
Jacob Wickizer born: 10 Oct 1784 near Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne Co, PA. died 5 Mar 1868 Allis Hollow, Orwell Twp, Bradford Co, PA.
Married: Thankful Greene on 15 Oct 1806 Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne Co, PA.
Thankful born: 20 Feb 1789. (I don't have information on
her family or where she was born)
Jacob moved to Wysox, Bradford Co, PA in or before 1810.
He purchased a tract of land in company with Willard Green/Greene (probably a relative of Thankfuls). The land along Johnson Creek, south of Rome, PA was about 150 acres.
This was wilderness land and they started clearing land
and making improvements.
1850 Census Rome Township, Bradford Co, PA
says that Jacob was born in New Jersey. I think this may
be an error. It also states that Thankful was born in PA.
