Hi Rooters, I have just had a paper published on the origin of the surname
Whillans & its homonyms which I think should interest you.
You can find the published paper at
http://www.one-name.org/members/journal/articles/vol11-3_Whillans.pdf
and the full paper at
http://www.one-name.org/members/journal/articles/vol11-3_full_Whillans.pdf
I hope that this might interest you sufficiently for you to get involved, if
you haven't done so already, with the Whillans Y-DNA Study (see below).
I'll be interested in your reactions, posted of course to this Rootsweb
List. You might sub to this List, if you haven't already, by sending an
email (containing only one word 'subscribe' and without any signature) to
<>. Getting off the List is just as easy, only
you use unsubscribe¹ instead of subscribe¹. Sending an email to the List
is also easy, by using the address <>; your message
goes immediately to all current 47 subscribers, all of whom are interested
in Whillans & its homonyms. There are two disadvantages; you cannot send
attachments, and you have to be careful want you send since it's archived
(see below).
Apologies if you get this message more than once.
Cheers
