Subject: [WELLS-ROCK-ISLAND] OT - "adopted" Wells addition

For those interested, we do have a new Wells descendant, by adoption.
As many of you know, my husband and I were adopting a baby last Spring. He arrived on May 15, 2002 and we were able to bring him home at two days old. I was with him from the time he was a couple of hours old and we bonded right away.
Needless to say, my research has taken a back burner for the last few months as I work full time and need to be mom the rest of the time. I have to say, being a mom finally is the most wonderful thing.
Our adoption was final on New Year's Eve, giving us a great anniversary to celebrate. Our son is now almost 10 months old, healthy, happy and running everywhere (yes, running, first step was at 8 months, walking by 9 months).
As a genealogist, I am pleased to say that our son will have two genealogy "books", his biological line as well as his adopted line...he is blessed with two families who love him very much.

Oh yeah, his name is Braedan Alexander Reed Hansen. Three guesses where the "Reed" came from! (It's his birth surname)
