List members,
I am looking for the origins of a John Adam Henry Weisenseel
1792-1867 and a Casper Weisenseel 1782-1847 (both also spelled
Weisensale in local church records and PA census). I am descended from
John Adam Henry through my Mother, Mary Louise Wisensale 1930-. John
Adam Henry and Casper may be brothers who settled in Union Township,
Adams County, PA in the early 1800's. I first find the in the 1850 PA
census and listed as born in Germany. Also listed in that census are
the following:
Christian Godfrey Weisensale 1819-1870, Casper Weisensale 1823-1905, and
another Christian Weisensale 1813-1896. John Weisensale 1818-1866, the
son of John Adam Henry is also listed. All recorded as born in
Germany. These men and their families consistently show up in the same
Adams/York County PA church records at the same times, but to date I
have not been able to positively link the others mentioned to the John
Adam Henry Weisensale line. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Other surnames being researched include: LORENTZ, MARTIN, TRONE,
WAGAMAN, ALTLAND, HEMLER, TOPPER. Thank you.
