Does anyone have names for the children of William Webb and Martha Floyd of
Stokes Co. and Patrick Co.?
Are these Webb's in the DNA project?

1816 John Webb NLT 1795 Stokes Witness to will of
Jonas Lawson. Abstract Wills of Stokes Co, NC. Vole 1-4 l790-1864 by W.O. Absher
(copy in Clayton Genealogical Library in Houston, Texas) page 174 1794
Unnamed Webb NLT 1773 NC Stokes (Possibly John or William) Cited in Page 85,
Grant #338. Wt. Granted by Clerk of Court, 5 June 1794, Joseph Cloud enters
3,000 acres in Stokes Co.; as "bounty" for iron works agreeable to Act of
Assembly for that purpose of waters of Peters Creek, Snow Creek and Furies Fork;
border: his own land, Webb, Alexander Burge, Virginia line, John Hart, Jonas
Lawson, Edwine Hukman, Jeremiah (sis) Collins, James Bohanan and William
Burris.
This last indicates that Snow Creek an Peters Creek are close together
When I GOOGLEd BOOKS for "stokes Co" "William Webb" I found
The Harbours in America on page 50:
One transaction, found in Book 16, p 295, Stokes Co, NC reads: "This
indenture made this 18th day of Jan 1847 between William Webb of the county of
Pendleton and state of Ky by his attorney, in fat, John H. Webb of the one part
and Thomas Harbour of the county of Henry, state of VA...."
May or may not be the same William Webb.
Did you mean Patrick Co, VA?
Don't think the family is in the DNA Project, but can't swear to it, as my
reference is only to the oldest male in the line. Certainly nobody has listed
William Webb as their oldest male ancestor
