Hi Everyone,

Tomorrow Wed. September 13th Rootsweb is going to be moving the Waxhaw list over to a new list management system. Everyone should have already received a notice about it. However just a few points that may or will happen you should be aware of.

First, any AOL subscribers will need to check your spam filters from time to time to see if any Waxhaw messages wind up there. If you see them please click on "This is not spam" in order to continue to receive messages. All lists on Rootsweb will be moved over to the new system in the next couple of weeks.

Second: When subscribe to a new list you do not have to put the -L in the name i.e.:
you can drop the -L. If you subscribe in digest mode continue to use the -D

When sending a message to a list you can use either and it will be sent to the list but if you forget and use it will still work.

Once the Waxhaw list has been moved over to the new system if you are subscribed to both the List and Digest mode of mail you will have to re-subscribe your Digest with a separate email address. The new list will only allow ONE email address. Your subscription to the List mode will transfer over with no problem. Only the Digest will be affected. If you are subscribed with only the Digest then you do not have to do anything.

You most likely will not notice anything when the change takes place. If you do have questions there is list you can subscribe to but you do not have to do this if you do not want to. I will try to answer your questions but please send them off list.

Once the move over takes place I will receive an email from Rootsweb and when I get it I will send a message to the list to let you know. Again, AOL users if you dot not get a message from me on the list by today or tomorrow at the latest check your spam filters. If there is nothing there send me an email.
