Greetings
In the 1952 Kelly's page 1580 there is a
Stanley (Birmingham)Ltd, ladies and children's
outfitters 71 to 73 Colmore Row 3, T A "Stanlistic"
Bhm, 3 Centrel 7528 and 7529 (private branch
exchange)
> I found a Stanleys clothing shop in Erdington in Yellow Pages and thinking it too much a coincidence<
It is possible that they are the same firm? because in the
1974 Kelly's page 1276 there is a
Stanley`s outfitters ladies "outfitters" 1008 Chester Rd,
Erdington 2732,
And about 1966? the Colmore Row Stanley disappears
and the Erdington Stanley`s appears
I will give a directory (of my choice) to anyone
who has further information on Hugh D`loyde
a licensed Victualler. some time in the early 1800,s,
or any info on the D`Loyde family before 1850,
subject to conformation

Stanleys set up to trade again elsewhere in Birmingham. I found a Stanleys clothing shop in Erdington in
Yellow Pages and thinking it too much a coincidence wrote last year to ask if there was any connection.
Unfortunately I did not receive a reply.

would come as a surprise. Anybody any information on Stanleys?
