Hello Michele,
I have looked at the Birmingham A-Z (it is pre 1972 Ed'n)
...Going NW from New street in central Birmingham, into congreve St,
Summer row then Parade; in the parade turn right into George St. There
was a Post Office on the corner.
There has been quite a lot of rebuild going on so it is possible George
St has been modified but I'm sure it is still there.
