Hi Listers
Just a cautionary note. I thought I had checked my computer thoroughly for Y2K, the final check being to run all the McAfee Clinic checks as suggested on one of the lists this last week. Everything came up as compliant. This morning, out of pure curiosity, I checked the little clock on my Taskbar - which tells me it is Friday, 4 January, 1980! I re-run the McAfee checks which tell me that my BIOS is not compliant, try to run the fix but can't get it to work, shut the computer down, start it up again. The clock is still wrong, so I re-do the McAfee checks which tell me everything is compliant (but my clock is still wrong). Now I know I can simple go in and change the clock but does it affect anything else? I've e-mailed McAfee but they say it will be 48 hours before they get back to me.
My point is that everything may seem OK but is it? Just be a little bit wary.
Happy New Year
Regards
Patricia
