I was in Rapids a while back and thought I would check up on the
Miller and Walloch cranberry marsh while at the library. They were
mentioned in a cranberry book, but nothing about them. Nothing else
surfaced in
the history books.
I did look in the directories and found the following
1921 John M. and Elsie Walloch living at 537 54th St.
1930 Walter L owns the Walloch Cafe at 340 West Grand
Joseph Wallock is an auto mechanic at Huntington Garage.
His residence is 830 Oak St.
1933 Walter and Margaret Walloch are at 342 1/2 West Grand. The
Walloch restaurant is at 340 West Grand and
John Walloch has a typewriter service there as well
1935 Walter and Marge are proprietors of the Dutch Mill at 343
West Grand. They have a daughter Donna. The Restaurant
and
Delicatessen are at 340 and the typewriter service at
350.
John and Elsie are proprietors of LaGrande Beauty Shop,
Typewriter service, restaurant and delicatessen at 342
1/2 Grand.
Their
family is Mary, Dorothy Mae, Robert, Donald James, and
Joan Marie.
Joseph and Caroline Walloch are agents for Deep Rock Oil at
1011 Second St. North.
1941 Miller and Walloch Service Station is located at 410 East
Grand
John M and Elise H have Walloch's Typewriter Exchange and
Office Supply at 340 West Grand.

I did not follow this up any further as I ran out of time. As I
recall,
a decendant confirumed that they are sons of Felix.

As Miller and Walloch did have a service station together,
it is likely they had other business (cranberry) as well.
Off on another note, I was driving through Montello, WI and
noticed a Wachholz funeral home...

county a few years ago:
Walloch, Joseph: Pet V1 1873-1903 pg 201. born Germany. age 26 on Oct 9
1894.
Wolloch, Joseph: Nat V2 1903-1906 pg 176. born Germany. doc Oct-9-1894
Walloch, Joseph: Int V2 1883-1893 pg 478. born in Germany in 1868.
landed in NY Apr 1869.
Wallach, John: Pet V1 1873-1903 pg 137 pg 137. born Germany. age 39 on
June 2, 1890.
Wollach, John: Nat V2 1903-1906 pg 107. born Germ. Doc 6-2-1890
Walloch, John: Nat V1 1873-1903 pg 107, doc #210. for citiz 6-2-1890.
