Seeking other descendants of Peter WALLS, Sr. (c1773-1848) and his second wife Sarah (c1781-1840) of Sussex County, DE. Most members of this family resided not far east through southeast of Georgetown, DE.

Besides my great-great-great-grandmother, Cornelia "Nealey" Walls JOHNSON (c1806-1862), who wed Lemuel Johnson (c1803-1866), my ancestor Peter fathered the following known children with Sarah: James Peter (c1797-1856, husband of Ann M. SMITH [c1796-1873]; they wed in 1835); Nancy (c1799-1852, wife of ___ JOSEPH); Peter Jr. (c1800-1855); William (c1802-1852, husband of Isabella LAWSON [c1806-1873]; they wed in 1828); Sarah (c1804-1851, wife of Henry Lawson [born circa 1800]; they may have wed in 1826; Sarah may have also been previously married to a CALHOON); Samuel B. (he may have wed a woman named Charlotte Joseph in 1831); David C. (c1810-1840, husband of Nancy R. "BERNNUM"; they wed in 1830; David may have previously wed Mary SHORT, in 1826); Lydia (c1813-1876, wife of Samuel White "White" Johnson [b. ca. 1803]; they wed in 1835); Brinkley L. (c1815-1849, husband of Sarah "BAINUM" [b. ca. 1815; her middle initial was either N. or H.]; they wed in 1836); Julia Ann (b. ca.!
1819, wife of Noah Joseph [b. ca. 1799]; they wed in 1840); and Thomas Paynter (c1823-1905, husband of Ann HALL [b. ca. 1823]; they wed in 1841).

The only known child of James Peter (c1797-1856) and Ann M. (c1796-1873) Walls was Sophia A. C. (c1837-1840).

Known children of William (c1802-1852) and Isabella (c1806-1873) Walls were: Eliza Ann (b. ca. 1832, wife of ___ HEWA); Emily W. (b. ca. 1834, wife of ___ Joseph); and Jonathan W./J. (b. ca. 1836 [middle initial appears as W. in earlier records, and as J. subsequently]).

Known children of Sarah (c1804-1851) and Henry (b. ca. 1800) Lawson were: Sarah (b. ca. 1826, wife of John W. SHOCKLEY [b. ca. 1823]); Elizabeth (wife of ___ BARBER); Henry R. (b. ca. 1829); John W. (b. ca. 1833); Thomas A. (b. ca. 1835); Mary E. (b. ca. 1838); David A. (b. ca. 1841); William (b. ca. 1843); and Hester J. (b. ca. 1847).

Known children of my g-g-g-grandmother, Cornelia "Nealey" (c1806-1862), and my g-g-g-grandfather, Lemuel (c1803-1866) Johnson, were: My g-g-grandmother Mary Ann (c1826-1892, wife of John W. PALMORE/PALMER [c1823-1895]); Sarah (b. ca. 1826, possibly Mary Ann's twin); Abraham W. (b. ca. 1829, husband of Martha Jane FISHER [b. ca. 1831]; they wed in 1851); Frances J. (b. ca. 1833, wife of Thomas STEEL [b. ca. 1830]; they wed in 1852); Hannah P. B. (b. ca. 1840, wife of Eli C. WILSON [b. ca. 1820]; they wed in 1857); Elizabeth (b. ca. 1842); Irena/Ar(r)ena (b. ca. 1843); and John E. (b. ca. 1846, husband of Aletta [b. ca. 1843]).

Known children of Samuel B. Walls were: Elon (wife of ___ Barber) and Elizabeth M. (b. ca. 1837, wife of Jesse CARPENTER; they wed in 1854).

Known children of Lydia (c1813-1876) and Samuel White "White" (b. ca. 1808) Johnson were: Ann W. (b. ca. 1837); Jane (b. ca. 1841); Comfort (b. ca. 1844); William D. (c1845-1914, husband of Sarah H. [b. ca. 1848]); Eliza Emma "Emmie" (b. ca. 1848); Erasmus C. (b. ca. 1851 [middle name was presumably Charles, as he seems to have been known as Charlie]); and Arena A. (b. ca. 1854).

Known children of Brinkley L. (c1815-1849) and Sarah (b. ca. 1815) Walls were: Sophia A. (died in 1843); Mary E. (b. ca. 1844); Harriet Jane (b. ca. 1845); and Greenbury Edward (b. ca. 1847).

Known children of Julia Ann (b. ca. 1819) and Noah (b. ca. 1799) Joseph were: Peter P. (b. ca. 1842); James (b. ca. 1844); and Margaret A. (b. ca. 1846).

Incidentally, in addition to being married to Sarah (c1781-1840), my g-g-g-g-grandfather, Peter Sr. (c1773-1848), was wed once previously to a woman whose name is not known. With her, he had a daughter named Mary (c1793-1843). Peter Sr. remarried to a woman named Comfort following Sarah's death.
