I'm also tracing my family history, and I am also a direct descendant of the Featherston line from Amelia County Va. That is my maternal grandmother's surname through her mulatto father. Ironically, my surname is Walden, and I come from a long line of Waldens, on my father's side, of Nansemond Count, Va. We are multi-ethnic people and I've never heard about a connection between the two--Wow! I hope you find what you need, and I wish the same for me since the history of so many of my ancestors have been difficult to trace...
