I'm looking for some info that relates to the Waldon Family in Tennessee.&nbsp;
These were the family that Waldon Mountain was named after. Thomas came
over from England b. 1821, and married a girl named Louisa M. ?. They had
John A. b. 1862, William Thomas b. 1863, Renson L. b. 1868, Mary Ann b.
1870, Danal B. b. 1872, Sarah Elizabeth b. 1874, Elbert S. b. 1877.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<BR>My wife is related thru the husband of Sarah Elizabeth Waldon, George Washington
Miles b. Dec. 1867 in Roane Co. TN. I have the marriage license of George
and Sarah. They were married in Meigs Co. TN Oct 12, 1888.&nbsp; George
was Cherokee Indian.&nbsp;

<BR>My mother-in-law told us that she knew Sarah Elizabeth was a Waldon from
TN that the mountain was named after and the movie about them that later
became a series was about that family.&nbsp; She learned this from her
mother's (Della Estelle Miles) sister Lillie Miles, before she died. These
kids are the offspring of George and Sarah.&nbsp; Things seem to fit fairly
well so I'm plunging ahead.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<BR>I'm sure there must be a good book or two on the History of the Family,
possibly something in a County History about the Family. Seeing they had
a mountain named after them, I don't think that would be too much to ask.&nbsp;

<BR>Anyone having any info about them I'd be glad to fill in some blanks about
Sarah's family line.&nbsp; Hope to hear from you soon.

<BR>ps. I got most of the above information about the Waldon's from the 1910
census just recently. A librarian from Meigs county Library mailed it to
me.&nbsp; I'll probably contact her as well.
