Hi Bill,
I would be most interested in anything that you should happen to learn
about the Vicary family of Bishop's Nympton, as I believe I may be
descended from them as well. My 4x great-grandfather John Tucker was
christened in Bishop's Nympton on 27 November 1796 and was the son of
John and Mary. I have found an IGI record for the marriage of John
Tucker and Mary Vicary on 13 July 1789 in Bishop's Nympton -- they
might have been my John's parents. I have also found a christening
record of a Mary Vicary on 27 Feb 1771 in Bishop's Nympton, the
daughter of Philip and Elizabeth. So if you should find any other
living descendants of the Vicarys, I would be very grateful if you
could let me know!!
Regards,
Mike Matthews, Bristol, England
