As some of you know, I work at the Clayton Library Center for Genealogical
Research in Houston, Texas. When we got to work Thursday, we were handed
the following challenge to help the day go faster. So, I thought of y’all……
..it's for when the last gift is opened, the last of the stuffing is
stuffed, and you need a little down time from all the hustle and bustle. So here
you have it folks, the
Clayton Library 2010 Last Day Before the Holiday Fun Guide
(Every thing can be found on line. For 1st Activity, C, the Clayton url is

1st Activity – Genealogy Scavenger Hunt
a. Find a unique genealogical record for someone with the name
Christmas.
(Bonus – extra points for someone named “Merry Christmas or Christmas
Holiday”)
b. Find a unique record for someone born on December 25
(Bonus- extra point for someone named Jesus)
c. Find a book at Clayton Library with Christmas on its catalog
record –
(Bonus- extra point if Christmas is in the title or subject headings)
d. Find a genealogical record for someone named “Hanukkah” or its
various
spellings.
e. Find a genealogical record for someone related to the Star of
David.
f. Find a genealogical record for someone named “Happy New Year”.
g. Find a genealogical record for Santa, any version of his name.
h. Which of Santa’s reindeer has not died in America in the past 40
years?
i. Find a genealogical record for someone with your name.
2nd Activity – Spreading Holiday Cheer
a. Find a holiday video to share
b. Share a family holiday story
c. Find a “silly” holiday song to share.
