I am searching for a family named Southerland, Southernland or Sutherland.
The following is what I know to date:
a. Family owned land in Caroline Co, VA and in Southern Virginia.
b. Family owned slaves in Caroline County, Virginia.
c. Time period would be about 1855 to 1875.
