Abraham
Van Wormer.

Inscription: Mr. Abraham Van Wormer died Apr. 6th 1826. AET. 72
y. & 6 m. Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from thenceforth Yea
saith the Spirit that they may rest from their labours and their works do
follow them.

He had lived in Schenectady, N.Y., before coming to Newark
Valley, and had married with Catarina Lanehart, who went back to Schenectady
and died there 7 or 17 June, aged one hundred years and five days according to
the family record. While Prof. Pearson's Schenectady Genealogies page 253,
exaggerates the age to 105 years and 5 days giving credit to her gravestone.

Frederick
Van Wormer, son of Abraham and Catarina (Lainhart) Van Wormer, was born at
Rotterdam, N.Y., 6 march 1796, and died at Lisle Road in Owego, N.Y. on Friday,
30 June 1876.


Abraham and  Catherine Lainhart Van Wormer were the parents of Maria, Catharina, Aaron, Margarita, Michael, Frederick and Annatje.  I have not found any document stating who Abraham's parents were.
