Hello. My Grandfather was Ralph Van Every. He was born in Canada near Brantford Ontario. I have traced him back to David Van Every and his wife Sarah Showers who were living in the region north of Albany NY before the Revolutionary war. He was a loyalist and fought with Butler's Rangers in Canada. Russ Wood

I have collected considerable amount of information on their three children, namely Samuel Andrew, William Nelson, and Rachel L. md. Irving, who immigrated to the Middleville, Michigan area, and have been in contact with some of their descendants who likewise are researching this family. I would be glad to hear from anyone connected with this family, including the Canadian and New York researchers who have already contributed much to the knowledge of this family's history. I am a great-great grandson of John and Lucinda (Van Every) Cook; Lucinda was a granddaughter of Andrew D. Van Every through eldest son Samuel A. Van Every (1820-1888).
