Hi listers,

My OGS Families arrived this past week. I like to do a quick
check through it before placing it in the box of
quarterlies, etc., to donate to the Arizona State Capitol
Genealogical Library. There is an article, starting on page
77 (pages are continued through the year, this is Vol. 40,
No. 2, May 2001), on Documenting Six Nations Ancestry. I
know some of you are descended from Chief Joseph Brant, so
thought I would mention this to you. His portrait is shown
on page 78, which mentions that it is courtesy of the
National Gallery of Canada.

On other pages there are portraits of other Six Nations
chiefs or kings. Also a map of Six Nations Reserve
settlement after 1849. Thought some of you might want to
look this up in your local library, or if a few don't have
access to this publication, I could copy some pages and
snail mail to you. I can't do a wholesale mailing, but a few
would be OK. Of course, not all of you are descended from
Chief Joseph Brant, so that many would be OK!
