Subject: Obits for Mecklenburg County

I am beginning my search for obituaries for my ancestors who lived in Chase City, Mecklenburg. Would anyone know what the local paper is and how long it has been around? The earliest death dates I have are from the 1930s..the others go all the way through the 1980s. Any help would be appreciated.
