Hi Gil,

Thanks for the note. I suspect the email was sent by a non-genealogy
related address. I do not monitor the emails (unless they are trapped by
RootsWeb), and do not monitor who can subscribe to the list.

I just sent the message below to the email address of --
but doubt that I hear anything back.

Feeling fairly brave because I have the latest Anti-Virus / Internet
protection, I clicked on the link and see what you saw. It is a fake
website so my Anti-Virus software just warned me about it, but did nothing.

Be very careful when clicking on any link in any email -- you never know
what may happen!

I am the list administrator for Louisa Co., VA ()

Someone contacted me regarding a link that was in an email you sent to the
list.

It took me a few minutes to find it, but I did confirm that your email
address sent a response to a "Watkins" thread on the message board.
The only text in the message was a link to a website:
HTTP://WWW.VOIP.88NC.NET/TMP/TEMPLATES_C/WORLD.HTML

When you click that link you are given a warning that your computer has
issues, and regardless of what you may click, you are taken to another
screen that is a little scary since it concerns issues with your pc.

Norton detected "Fake App Attack: Fake AV Website 20".

So, not sure if you are aware, but it looks like your PC is infected and you
may want to correct that issue.
