Merle
Edward Casey II, 22, of Roanoke, Va., passed away Wednesday, August 12,
2009. He was born April 5, 1987, in Roanoke, Va. Those left to cherish
his memory are one son, Josiah Tai Casey; father and stepmother, Merle
(Marva) Casey; mother, Danette Casey; three sisters, Katina (Mike)
Hamlar, Love Pate and Troyleena Pate; one brother, Mark T. Casey;
grandparents, Alma Richie, Kathleen Pate and Daniel Hale; four aunts,
Donna Pate, Barbara Reynolds, Cheryl (Douglas) Poindexter and Andrea
(Billy) Buffalo; two uncles, Donald (Lillian) Casey, Robert (Karen)
Pate and a special friend, Sheena Wilmer. A host of nieces, nephews,
other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be noon
Tuesday, August 18, 2009, in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel with Bishop Frank
English officiating and the Rev. Thomas A. Woods Sr. eulogist. The
interment will be in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will
receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Friends may call on
Monday afternoon for viewing at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home. Condolences
