Sue,

I have the Eliz. Grubb d/o Wm. & Rosanna (West) Grubb - she married
Jeremiah Lovelace. That was the only marriage record I could find for
her. Her father gave his consent for her to mar Jeremiah.

I had thought first that Henry & Eliz. were both listed as in-laws -
and then second-guessed myself into thinking on Henry was. ;-)

>Obviously there are two different Elizabeth Grubbs. HOWEVER.....there is the matter of the 1900 census record you are talking about. HOH Jacob Grubb b. May 1834 is most likely the Jacob in the first household above. But the age of his sister Elizabeth does not agree with the age of the Elizabeth who was the sp. of Henry Haga. Of course, that's ok because in the 1900 census the Henry Haga & sp. Elizabeth living with Jacob are BOTH listed as "in-law"s to Jacob Grubb. This would indicate that rather than Elizabeth (sp. of Henry) being Jacob's sister, she was instead the sister of Jacob's wife Margaret even though she happens to be the same age as Jacob's sister Elizabeth.

>Now, consider that there is an Elizabeth RHYMER and Margaret RHYMER listed as siblings in the 1850 census who are in the same age ballpark as Elizabeth sp. of Henry and Margaret sp. of Jacob. So I have to wonder if we aren't right about Henry Haga's wife being Elizabeth Rimer. I guess the only way to know for sure is to find the marriage records for Henry & Elizabeth Haga, and Margaret & Jacob Grubb, and hope it lists the parents.
