Alice Leona Clements True Fahrni
Alice Leona Clements True Fahrni, 88, born December 30, 1911 to Steven Clements and Agnes Craig Clements in Amer-ican Fork, Utah, passed away peacefully at the Sunshine Terrace Nursing Home in Logan, Utah on Nov. 7, 2000.
She married John Dennis True in 1934, he died in 1951. She married Arthur W. Fahrni in 1959, he died in 1995. She lived most of her life in Salt Lake City working and raising her children in the Popular Grove area until she and Arthur moved to Richfield. Many friends and relatives benefited from their warm welcome home, congregating to visit the Canyonlands and go fishing at beautiful Fish Lake and surrounding reservoirs. Leona and Art spent most of their spare time fishing together and loved the area. When they moved back to Salt Lake City their time was spent at their little trailer by the Weber River, in Oakley, Utah. Again they shared their meals and hospitality with many friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Dennis True and Arthur W. Fahrni; two daughters, Jane Agnes True and Ellen Mary True Queen.
She is survived by V. Lorraine True Capps, West Valley City, Utah; Kathleen True Arnold, Paige, Texas; Peggy Fahrni (Jim) Myrick, Blanding, Utah; Lloyd (Sherry) Fahrni, West Jordan, Utah; Denna True (Ron) Fullmer, Elwood, Utah; Carolyn Fahrni (John) Martin, South Jordan, Utah; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Terrace Grove Assisted Care Center and the Sunshine Terrace Nursing Home, both of Logan, Utah for the kind and loving care given to Leona during her last years.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 13th, at 11 a.m., Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. Where friends may call on Monday one hour prior to services.
