Thanks, Chris. Yes, we are talking about the Isle of Sheppey, Sheerness
and Minster, Kent. (I'm actually a Surrey girl so I'm a bit familiar
with the geography). St. Ishmael's was a surprise when I found it in
the census, but as you say, there is a connection - both have
shipbuilding industries. It seems George made his way to Kent between
1941 and 1951.

Yes, I've tried Free BMD. That's where I got the marriage info. from.
Unfortunately, she was born too early for the civil records, which is
why I was hoping IGI would give me a good lead.
