Hi Joan

There's a good chance you can find your Thomas in records
filmed by the LDS church. If you go to my page for OFFline
records for Wisconsin, you will find info on this.

I know that the WI Historical Society has some records, but am
not sure what. There's a link to them from the URL above. The
Supreme Court Naturalizations as early as 1840 have been filmed
and can be obtained via FHC
