Angeline L. "Julie" (Grispino) McCracken, of High Street, Westerly, R.I.,
died peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at The Westerly Hospital. She was
the wife of the late Kenneth J. McCracken.
Born in Westerly on Dec. 29, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph
and Angeline (DiCicco) Grispino.
Julie worked as an L.P.N at The Westerly Hospital for over 30 years before
retiring. She also worked at the Westerly Health Center for several years.
Mrs. McCracken volunteered at the Westerly Library, Immaculate Conception
Bingo, V.N.S of Westerly and the Chorus of Westerly. She was a communicant
of the Immaculate Conception Church in Westerly.
She will be sadly missed by her two children, Kenneth H. McCracken of
Pawcatuck, Conn., and Patricia Algiere of Westerly. She was the devoted
sister of Yolanda Fiore of Westerly, Dorothy Pendola of Westerly, and Rev.
Francis Grispino of Michigan. She also leaves five grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Sansone, and her brother Joseph
Grispino.
Relatives and friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10
a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. There will
be no cortege from the funeral home. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
Burial will be private in St. Michael's Cemetery, Pawcatuck.
