William S. Davis, Jr., 60, of 207 Bator St., West Hazleton, died at 1:15
p.m. Friday at the Hazleton State General Hospital shortly after being
admitted.

Born in Audenried, he was a son of the late William and Elvire (Jenkins)
Davis Jr.

He was a retired employee of the UGI Company and was formerly employed by
the Glen Alden Coal Company.

He was a veteran of World War II.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 761 of Mountaintop and the
Freeland Gun Club.

Surviving are hsi wife, Adelina Astleford; daughter, Mrs. Roy (Diana)
Johnson, Scarlett, N.C.; two grandchildren, and sister, Mrs. Edna Herchel,
West Hazleton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Krapf and
Hughes Funeral Home, 426 W. Broad St., with the Rev. Rodney Salyor
officiating. Interment will be in Skyview Memorial Park, Hometown.
