Helen H. Horne of Longmont died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at Peaks Care
Center. She was 93.

She was born May 25, 1911, in Woodson, Kan., to James and Carrie (Leslie)
Zimmerman.

She married Eldon Claar on Feb. 27, 1930, in Norton, Kan.

She was a master baker and homemaker.

She moved with her husband from Kansas to Greeley in 1944, where they farmed
until 1945. She moved to Denver and lived there from 1945 to 1973, when she
moved to Loveland.

Following her husband’s death, she lived in Arizona and Crane, Texas. She
married Walker Horne on July 1, 1981, in Crane. She moved to Longmont in
June 1991 and remained here until her death.

Mrs. Horne was a member of the Women’s Federation Club, First Christian
Church of Crane and LifeBridge Christian Church of Longmont.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and taking cruises.

Mrs. Horne was preceded in death by her first husband in 1978; her second
husband in 1991; two brothers; and six sisters.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Mary Boddy of Longmont
and her family.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, at Ahlberg
Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec.
27, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, with Rick Rusaw of LifeBridge Christian
Church officiating.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Fort Collins.
