RUTLAND, Vt.

Helen B. Ryan, 86, of Rutland, Vt. died Jan. 17, 2004, at Mountain View
Center in Rutland.
She was born in West Rutland, Vt. May 17, 1917, the daughter of Joseph
and Sophie (Mikus) Gecewicz. She was educated in West Rutland schools.
She was a resident of Rutland, Vt, for more than 25 years before moving
to Mendon,Vt. in 1962, where she lived for 30 years.
She married James L. Ryan in 1938. He died in 1983.
Mrs. Ryan worked at Tambrands Inc. for more than 20 years, retiring in
1972.
She was a member of Christ the King Church in Rutland and was a member
of the charismatic prayer group.
Survivors include a daughter, Marcia Creed of Pittsford; two sons, James
Ryan of Northfield and Robert Ryan of Reading, Pa.; five grandchildren;
four great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews
and cousins.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony Gecewicz and Stanley
Gecewicz.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Christ the King
Church in Rutland. The Rev. Reid Mayo, pastor, will officiate. Private
burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Clifford Funeral home in
Rutland.

Retirement Fund, Convent Avenue, Rutland,Vt. 05701, or to Mountain View
Center Recreation Fund, Haywood Avenue, Rutland, Vt.05701.
