FRANKLIN — Robert E. "Bob" Hanks, 63, of 444 Salisbury Road in Franklin,
died suddenly Saturday, March 31, 2001, at the Franklin Regional
Hospital after being stricken ill at his home.
He was born in Franklin, May 23, 1937, son of Arthur H. and Grace A.
(Gilman) Hanks. He attended schools in Franklin and was a lifelong resident.
He worked at the former Verza Leather and later Webster Valve Co. in
Franklin for many years. He then was employed as a working supervisor at
the former National Survival Game Inc. in New London.
He was predeceased by his father and a brother, Arthur Guy Hanks.
His family includes his mother, Grace A. (Gilman) Hanks-Rayno of
Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Raymond (Patricia A.) Legare of Franklin; a
half-brother, Richard P. Rayno of New York; nieces and grandnephews.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Franklin Cemetery in
Franklin. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the New Hampshire
Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247-0572.
The William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton is in charge.

FRANKLIN — A graveside service will be held Friday, May 11, 2001, at 3
p.m. in Franklin Cemetery for Robert "Bob" E. Hanks, 64, of 444
Salisbury Road in Franklin, who died March 31, 2001.
Officiating will be the Rev. Carol Cray, pastor of the Franklin United
Methodist Church. Burial will follow.
The William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton is in charge.
