May he rest in peace.

Lauren R. "Skip" Upp, age 74, of Toledo, passed away
Monday, January 22, 2001, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical
Center after a long illness. He was born February 1,
1926, in Toledo, to Lawrence and Crystal (Brunton)
Upp. Lauren was a longtime resident of Toledo,
currently residing at Villa North Health Care and
Rehabilitation Center. He was a graduate of Whitmer
High School and a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran. Before
retiring several years ago, Lauren worked as a truck
driver, a machinist, and a maintenance man.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Crystal Upp,
and grandson, William Upp. Lauren is survived by his
loving children: Terry (Katherine) Upp, Randy (Judy)
Upp, Richard Upp, and Renee Edwards; father, Lawrence
Upp; sisters, Barbara (David) Bennett, Nancy Jennings,
and brother, Roger (Pamela) Upp. Also surviving are 6
grandchildren.
At Lauren's request, there will be no visitation and
interment will be private. The family will receive
friends at a Memorial service, which will be held
Saturday, February 10th, at 1 p.m. in the
Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd.,
419-473-0300.
