Mrs. Hester Cornelia Carter, 90 year old resident of the Pleasant Valley
community, died at the home of a son, Chester Lee Carter Saturday.
A daughter of the late William Nathan and Elizabeth Carter Pearson she was
born on Tuscaloosa, AL, Feb. 11, 1866. She lived in Arkansas 87 years.
Her husband was the late John Lee Carter.
Also surviving are five other sons, W.N. of Greenvrier, T.D. Carter of
Wooster, M.L. Carter of Goodwell, OK, C.B. Carter of Stuttgart, and C.J.
Carter of Green Bay, WI.; a daughter, Mrs. M.R. Patton of Greenbrier, 23
grandchilden, and 22 grandchildren
