Mrs. Isabelle Sims Surratt, 90, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. S.J.
Sims in the Needs Creek community, near Greenbrier, shortly before noon
today. Mrs. Surratt was the widow of J.D. Surratt, whose death occurred in
1927.
She was born at Dalton, GA, Feb.1, 1862 and lived for many years at
England, Arkansas. She came to the home of her daughter two months ago.
Also surviving are three other daughters, Mrs. O.G. Goode and Mrs. W.A.
Goode of Hooland and Mrs. J.L. Hughes of England; four sons, Sam Surratt of
England, Joe Surratt of Mobile, AL, Otis Surratt of Galveston, TX, and
Arvil Surratt of Fort Worth, TX, a sister, Mrs. Martha Fulbright of Las
Animos, CO. 26 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and seven great great
children.
