Hello to one and all.
I am also related. Our side uses the following spelling Upthagrove. We can
trace to John Upthagrove born in Penn in 1786,died in 1860 in Portage County,
Wisconsin.He is my GGG Grandfather. Can you get us started tracing backward
from him? We have always known about the Germantown connection, and the
William Penn connection
I also heard about Hermann the Bishop when I was in college. Also, it is not
far fetched that Hermann was his own 3rd cousin.I have seen quite a few
intermarriages between cousins even nowdays. ( just not quite as close as 2nd
more like 3rd and 4th)
